Doodle

This was drawn by Shiers last night as we were having a late night kitchen table hang out with our new friend Kirby Doss in Lake Charles, LA.

Tonight, Thursday January 26th, we're heading across the bayou to Bay St. Louis, MS, for a gig at one of my favourite venues, The Mockingbird Cafe.

Angles

Tonight, Tuesday October 25th, I am playing a set at Room 5 in Los Angeles, CA from 7:00pm. Come on down. It'll be awesome, I promise.

Last night, I had the opportunity to meet Robert Kipniss, who is a remarkable man and a remarkable artist, no doubt one of America's greatest. If you're in San Francisco, you can check out an exhibition of his at Weinstein Gallery, right on Union Square.

45rpm

In a little over two weeks, on Thursday Oct 6th, I'll be playing a gig at The Five Spot in Nashville. But this isn't just any old gig. It is, in fact, a vinyl release show as I will be selling brand spanking new copies of my first vinyl pressing ever, which is a 7" double A-side of my songs "Fisherman's Daughter" and "I Just Want To Love". Also playing will be The Alabama Shakes and Andrew Combs. It's going to be a helluva night. Don't miss it.

Frist

I went to an Andy Warhol exhibition yesterday at The Frist in Nashville. The building used to be the General Post Office, built during the depression as a Government initiative to give work to hundreds of unemployed laborers and craftsmen, before being converted into the The Frist Center for Visual Arts in 2001. The exhibition is well worth a look, if you're in town.
