Well, I'm back in Nashville.

To celebrate, I'm going to be playing a set with my band at The 5 Spot in East Nashville THIS TUESDAY night, April 26th. It's going to be awesome, and I'm very much looking forward to playing with my wonderful band again.

And it's Two Dollar Tuesday at The 5 Spot as well, which means Two Dollar Entry, Two Dollar Hot Dogs, and Two Dollar Beers. It's kinda crazy.

So, ah, you should come. Definitely.

This week I'm playing my last Melbourne, and indeed, Australian show before heading off to Nashville and the United States for a while, so this will be your last chance to get a live piece of me for some time, Australia.

It's going to be a great show, as I'm supporting the lovely Martha Tilston (UK), and she's really good. Here's the proof:

Firstly, THANK YOU so much again to all those who voted for me in the Nashville Lightning 100 Music City Mayhem competition. We came agonisingly close, but unfortunately one vote remained the difference at the end. But I'm ecstatic that I had such a great voter turnout, and exceedingly humbled by your support, so thank you so, so much. I promise to try and not make you vote for one of these things again, but if it does come up, I know I can count on all of you. Which is nice, really.

I'm still heading back to the US soon in any case, but before I do, I'm playing a few more shows. This weekend I'll be playing my last show in Brisbane before I head off, at the Brisbane Powerhouse for Waxing Lyrical alongside Scott Spark and Adele Pickvance. The show is on this Saturday April 9th at 5:00pm on the turbine stage and is free and all ages.

Then, you Melbournites will have a chance to catch my last show before I bid these shores farewell, next Wednesday April 13th at The Northcote Social Club, where I will be playing solo supporting the most excellent Martha Tilston (UK). Tickets are available from the Northcote Social Club website.

Well, one vote is all you need to get through, but unfortunately yesterday wasn't my day and it was one vote that counted in the end. There's gigs afoot!!

This weekend I'll be playing down the eastern side of Port Philip Bay, with a gig at Baha Tacos in Rye on Friday Night April 1st. I'll be playing a solo set first up, and then the band will be joining me for a set, and between you and me, we're going to kill it. We kick off at 9:00pm.

Then on Saturday April 2nd, the band and I will be joining my good friends the Quarry Mountain Dead Rats at The Chandelier Room in Moorabbin, (the best originals venue in Melbourne's south-east, from what I'm told) along with The Stillsons.  And yes, you heard me correctly, the band will be joining me for both shows. It'll be like a mini-tour.

So do yourself a favour, and come see some good music this weekend. It'll make your life better.
