Aron Shiers called these guys "Train Kids", which was a pretty good description. I've since been told they are also known as "Trustafarians", fauxhemians, or pretend hobos (fauxbos?), By this they mean they are trust fund kids that descend upon New Orleans before Mardi Gras to slum around and make a few bucks busking and generally having a good bohemian time of it. In any case, they played a pretty good rendition of an old folk tune called Tanner's Farm.
I'm playing a show in The Crescent City of New Orleans tonight at Banks St Bar, alongside local songstress Elli Perry and my touring buddy Aron Shiers. You should come check it out, because a) it's FREE, and b) shows in this town are always pretty special.
