I recently had the good fortune to once again play with my dear friend Jackie Marshall up in Brisbane, where we were also joined by the fantastic Black Square Quartet, playing tunes we recorded a while ago with arrangements by the great Rob Davidson. It’s the first time these songs and arrangements have been played live and it sounded rich and reverberant in the surroundings of Plant Empire’s performance space.

In other news, I recently finished my PhD in Composition through University of Melbourne. It has been a significant journey for me, with lots of ups and downs along the way. It was above all a thrill to be mentored and learn from such great musical minds as Stuart Greenbaum, Melody Eötvös, and Ken Murray.
